Showcasing local talent at a local establishment, the third annual RAW variety art show returns to Vancouver for an event to “Dig the Underground” and find indie talents yearning to share their expressions with the world.
RAW is described as an indie arts organization for artists, by artists. The monthly event selects nearly 40 local artists to be showcased and featured at local venues. Canvassing different cities each month, RAW has been helping indie artists gain public exposure for the past seven years. Their essential mission is to provide independent artists with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity.
This year, Vancouver’s event is being directed by Agatha Kasprzak, a local painter, illustrator and set-up artist on a Disney show. With host and local comedian James Kennedy on mic and DJ Kenya on the ones and twos, the stage is set for a spectacular showcase.
