Randi Chase back on KiSS RADiO, taking over morning show

KiSS RADiO has switched up their morning show after a confusing few days of personnel changes.

The station announced at 9 a.m. Friday morning that former Kid Carson Show co-host Randi Chase will be returning to the station to head up KiSS Breakfast with current show personalities Andrew Sosa and Susie Hill.

The new morning show will run from 6 to 10 a.m., Monday to Friday without the presence of big-name Kid Carson who abruptly disappeared from the station Thursday. In a release, KiSS announced they had “parted ways” with Carson but did not elaborate on who’s decision it was to have him off the show.

KiSS’ drama is all the more interesting considering Chase made her last appearance on the show on December 11. Her departure was announced on-air on December 14 but again, no reason was given.

She spoke out this morning while announcing her new gig, saying:

“I just couldn’t stay away! Nothing makes me happier than starting my mornings with you every day (except for Alex of course). I want to thank the whole KiSS team for having me back and allowing me the time to figure out what it was I truly wanted, and all of the KiSS listeners for your support. I’m honestly so excited, it’s great to be back!”

With Carson out and Chase back, there is no doubt the shake up will effect KiSS’ troubling ratings. The latest numbers from August to November 2015 put the station in 12th place, far behind fellow Top 40 competitors Z95.3, Virgin Radio, and popular stations like Rock 101, Jack FM, and pack-leader QM/FM.
