Rainfall warning in effect for Metro Vancouver

We hope you enjoyed the sunshine while you could, because the rain is back.

In fact a rainfall warning is in effect for Metro Vancouver, with up to 50 millimetres of of the wet stuff expected to fall in some areas, including the North Shore, according to Environment Canada.

The region will get a soaking throughout Tuesday as a frontal system and associated low centre track across the south coast. Environment Canada says that we can expect “heavy downpours” that can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. They also warn that localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
