It isn’t often that your gaming skills can win you $5,000, but Vancouver gamers are getting that chance.
Video game developer Ubisoft is hosting a series of tournaments for the brand new Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege, with events in Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, and Toronto. Teams will compete at their local qualifying tournaments, with winners heading off to Toronto for the finals on November 5, for their chance to win a Ubisoft prize pack and a $5,000 grand prize.
“We’re excited to bring this Rainbow Six Siege tournament to Canada for the first time, and look forward to revealing the best gamer teams in the country,” Lucile Bousquet, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications for Ubisoft Canada said in a release. “Our objective is to bring our community together in a fun and competitive experience, to have them play our games and engage them with our brand. We’re always interested in getting gamers’ feedback, whether it’s during the tournament or through the open beta available in September.“
Players can attend the event with their team of five, or Ubisoft will help people find a team on arrival. For more information, including how to register for the event, visit the Rainbow Six: Siege website.
