
Metro Vancouver residents are waking up to a low layer of clouds Wednesday morning as precipitation builds overhead with a day of rain in store for the sun-drenched region.
Environment Canada is calling for rain beginning this morning and carrying into this evening with a risk of thunderstorm in the afternoon.
Rain is expected to begin falling around 9 a.m. in Vancouver with possible thunder and lightning around 1 p.m. and into this evening. Temperatures will stay cool with a high of 19°C.
Thursday morning will begin with clouds but clear up by noon with a high of 22°C.
The weather agency is also calling for a 30 per cent chance of showers on Saturday.
