Rain in Metro Vancouver forecast: sunny, hot spell to end before weekend

If you have been doing the rain dance for the past few weeks, it has finally worked.

Environment Canada expects rain to return to Metro Vancouver and other nearby regions in the South Coast by Friday.

It could put a damper on some of the events happening this weekend at the Pemberton Music Festival.

Temperatures will dip but will remain relatively warm in the daytime. During a Vancouver summer, rain clouds typically dissipate by late afternoon.
