Calling all animal lovers! Vancouver Rabbit Rescue and Advocacy (VRRA) is hosting an adorable fall event this weekend that you won’t want to miss.

Rabbit Festival 2026, the ultimate celebration of everything rabbits, is happening on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Scottish Cultural Centre in Vancouver.

The family-friendly event is a great way to visit with the adorable animals in real life and learn about the cottontail cuties.

“We’re so excited to bring you a fun-filled day celebrating all things rabbits!” said VRRA online.

“From meeting adoptable bunnies and joining our Hoppy Hour mingle pen, to shopping with local vendors, playing rabbit-themed games, entering raffles, and watching the Vancouver Rabbit Agility Club, there’s lots of fun packed in one day.”

VRRA was founded by Olga Betts in 2003 as a volunteer-run non-profit charity.

“VRRA takes in rabbits that are unwanted or found abandoned,” Betts previously told Daily Hive. “We take them if we can or direct them elsewhere. We help people by educating them so the rabbit becomes a good pet.”

This year’s Rabbit Festival includes bunny meet and greets, where you can meet adoptable rabbits and even bring your own to see if they make a connection in the Hoppy Hour pen.

There will also be bunny grooming sessions by donation, and visits with rabbit vets on site, also by donation.

You can also shop the festival vendors at the Scottish Cultural Centre, enter to win the raffle or door prize, and meet other bunny lovers at the event.

“A rabbit can be a pet no different than a cat or dog and deserves the same kind of life,” said Betts. “They are so often neglected — sad and alone in a hutch outdoors. They are social creatures and suffer from boredom and loneliness.

“Seeing happy rabbits in their new homes, saving some of the badly injured ones, and seeing shy ones come out of their shell makes it all worthwhile. They are such endearing creatures.”
