Calling all Harry Potter fans, there’s going to be a huge quidditch tournament in Surrey next week.

As announced on their website, Quidditch Canada has revealed (like magic!) the locations of the Eastern Regional Championship (Mississauga,ON), Western Regional Championship (Surrey, BC), and the National Championship (Victoria, BC).

Both the Eastern and Western Regional Championships will take place this weekend, November 12 and 13, while the National Championship will be played April 1 and 2, 2017 at the University of Victoria.

More than 20 matches will be played over the course of the weekend and, for the first time ever, matches will be available for live stream at sportscanada.tv/quidditchcanada.

“I am looking forward to bringing our sport, live, to a wider audience than ever before. I believe that this is a natural step for our sport to become more accessible and consumable for Canadians,” said Events Director Sachin Kotecha in a Quidditch Canada release. “I hope that this first occurrence in this country proves to be a positive building block for the future of the sport in Canada.”

This weekend will surely tell whether they have enough interest to keep building.
