Many restaurants have attempted to give it a go at 850 Thurlow (at the corner of Thurlow and Haro). The last two failed attempts were The Corner Suite Bistro and Ensemble. The latest addition to that corner is the Purple Olive Grill, a fast paced restaurant that serves  steak, seafood, pastas, burgers, salads, soups and more. 

Judging by the prices, they aren’t going for the same patron as The Corner Suite Bistro and Ensemble were after.

Could a value meal be the cure for the curse at 850 Thurlow? We’ll soon find out.
