Dec 20 2017, 4:31 am

Nature enthusiasts, start planning your summers – most campsites in B.C.’s provincial parks will start accepting reservations on March 15.

Many of these camping sites can be booked up to three months in advance through the province’s Discover Camping website, and there are three new locations that allow reservations for the 2016 season: Dry Gulch, Inland Lake, and Okanagan Falls.

There are also two new group campsites at Syringa and Kootenay Lake parks, and, for the first time, two “rustic” trapper’s cabins in Wells Gray Provincial Park that are now reservable.

While booking doesn’t open until March 15 at 7 a.m., eager campers will be able to view inventory on the Discover Camping website starting March 9 at 9 a.m.

Discover Camping shows the availability of 122 of the province’s campgrounds and 5,800 campsites. Booking is also available through your smartphone. More than 158,000 reservations were made through Discover Camping’s website last year.
