Project B Vancouver Fundraiser

Dec 19 2017, 4:34 pm

Project B, happening October 24, 2013, is a breast cancer fundraiser that showcases over 50 anonymous images of local Vancouver women. The photographs will be on display and for sale at the event. They feature women from all walks of life, different generations, and cultural backgrounds and were photographed by Vancouver artist Taseda Knight.

“I think as artists we use the tools that we are given to communicate issues we feel strongly about,” said Knight when asked about why he started Project B. “For me, this is an opportunity to take my work in a different direction while making a positive impact on the community I live in.”

The art show and fundraiser will take place on October 24, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Lost + Found Café (33 West Hastings St., Vancouver). The event will feature a cash bar, local DJs and complimentary appetizers. The event is sponsored by El Kartel, Dipt, Ruby Starling, West Point Cycles, Aftermath Marketing and Molson Canadian who have all generously donated to the events silent auction.

Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased online at www.projectbvancity.eventbrite.com or in person at El Kartel (1007 Granville St., Vancouver).

Proceeds from the show will benefit the BC Cancer Foundation where they will be directed to breast cancer research.
