FEATURED EVENTS IN VANCOUVER

The BC Provincial Yoyo Championships is hitting Burnaby this Saturday, giving professionals a chance to show off their looping – and get newbies in on the act.

The competition, now in its second year, will take place in the large gym at Marlborough Elementary School between 10 am and 4 pm.

There will be demonstrations of different yoyo-ing toys like the kendama and belgeri, and the chance to try them out for yourself.

And of course, there will be contests throughout the day for beginners, amateurs and pros, plus a big trick throwdown.

Hosted by the Vancouver Yoyo Club, the competition is free to watch or to learn tricks. If you want to enter any contests, you’ll need to register online and pay $10 on the door.
