When you think Spain, traditional images of dark-haired beauties and passionate matadors may come to mind. Here’s a look at modern Spain through contemporary dance, with today’s hottest choreographers.

Ballet BC triumphantly presents UN/A, a Spanish-influenced name evoking the company’s strong bent towards creation-based new works.

Ballet BC’s last production of the season explodes at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for an exclusive three night run. This triple bill of three choreographers showcases the leading edge of modern dance in Vancouver. “They all have had international success, creating and staging works for major dance companies around the world,” said residential Artistic Director Emily Molnar.
