The Vancouver local has done it again. Earlier this week, SonReal released a music video that features almost 60 different locations all over the US. Currently on his Everywhere We Go Tour, SonReal is continuing on the up and up with his hit tracks and music videos that prove he is working hard to set himself apart from other artists. It has been a big year for him and his team, winning the award for Much Music’s Much Fact Video of the Year and selling out his show in Vancouver. Directed, filmed and edited by another Vancouverite Dane Collison, this is a music video you don’t want to click away from.
Earlier this year, Aaron Hoffman (SonReal) and Byron Wilson (SonReal’s Manager) sent Dane Collison a list of cities for an upcoming US tour they had just signed on to. Less than a month after receiving that list, Dane had quit his full time job and was on the road with the team to document the journey.
Rewind a few weeks with ‘Preach’ being a brand new single that SonReal had just released, they started tossing around ideas of putting some visuals to the song one way or another while out on the road. The tour was covering 54 cities through nearly every state so they knew the landscapes and surroundings could provide a unique angle for the project. What came as a simple idea slowly started turning into something more as more ground was covered. Over three months of shooting on the road, here it is – a tour video like none other! Oh, and did we mention they did this with no budget? #Preach
