On April 14, 2016, luxury fashion house Prada hosted a cocktail reception to officially celebrate the opening of the new Vancouver store on Alberni Street. Located in the heart of the city’s most prestigious shopping district frequently referred to as the “Luxury Zone,” the flagship lives up to its legendary reputation.
The space, designed by Studio Baciocchi, an architect registered in Italy, has a second floor which patrons may access via a lavish black marble stairwell or a marble lined private elevator. The second floor showcases the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections, with a private area dedicated to Made-to-Measure service.
Guests were greeted with a warm welcome from the boutique manager and flute of Laurent-Perrier champagne. For those who preferred something less sweet, a tart ‘Moscow Mule’ was available. Hawksworth Restaurant provided catering with sophisticated amuse-bouche, chocolate truffles and impeccable service.
Additional guests included Aida Fung, Lisa Hudson, Monte Clark, Deputy Mayor Daniel Lee, Giorgio Puppin, Executive Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in West Canada, Gianluca Biscardi, Cultural Attache’ of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, and Massimiliano Iacchini, Consul General of Italy in Vancouver.

This service allows customers the opportunity to completely customize their own pair of Prada shoes, choosing from an extensive selection of styles, materials, colours, heel heights and other unique customization options.
