Power outage in downtown Vancouver affects 1,000 customers

A dug up wire in downtown Vancouver has caused a power outage late this morning, affecting 1,000 customers in the area.

BC Hydro crews are working to restore power by 6 p.m.

UPDATE: Power has been restored to the area.
