Popular Powell Street Festival returns to Vancouver this August
The annual Powell Street Festival is the largest Japanese Canadian festival in the country, which celebrates and promotes Japanese arts, culture, and heritage.

This year, it will take place right in the heat of the summer, on August 3 and 4, 2019.

It will feature live performances, martial arts demos, Japanese calligraphy, and most importantly, delicious food available for purchase.
There will be tons of food vendors selling hundreds of items including ramen, Japanese chocolate, takoyaki, and Osaka balls, just to name a few – we’ll keep you posted on exactly what you can dig into closer to the event, but for now, mark your calendars and save the date.
