Looking for a traditional and authentic Québécois poutine? La Belle Patate on Davie street is the spot to hit. Opened by Montrealers, La Belle Patate serves up a variety of poutines. All poutines are made fresh to order with fresh cut fries, fresh cheese curds and vegetarian gravy.
If you’ve never been here, start with a small Traditional poutine for only $5.50. The portion seems small but it is very filling as it’s served with a generous amount of “squeaky” cheese curds.
The Deluxe Smoked Meat Poutine is layered with moist Montreal smoked meat, onions and mushrooms. It’s got a nice mix of salty smoked meat, and sweet onions, super delicious.
This restaurant is very casual. Place your order at the cashier, and find your own seating. As a added bonus, they open late, until 10 PM on weekdays and 3 AM on weekends. They also have All You Can Eat poutine for those with big appetites.
