THIS IS NOT A DRILL: The poutine burger has returned to Triple O's

May 3 2018, 6:39 am

This is a limited time event, so we’ll get straight to the point: The almighty poutine burger at Triple O’s has returned. It was first unleashed back in 2013, with limited reappearances in 2014 and 2015. Since then, it’s been consigned to the halls of legend.

Until now.

The aggressively Canadian creation is now back by popular demand so you can get your hands on one at your local Triple O’s restaurant, or at the Triple O’s On-the-Go food truck at select community events throughout May and June.

It takes everything you love about Triple O’s award-winning, 100% fresh Canadian beef burger and combines it with everyone’s favourite: fries smothered in gravy and cheese curds, AKA poutine.

But let’s get weirdly enthusiastic about toppings for a moment. (You’re welcome.)

The burger is topped with naturally smoked bacon and sits upon a bed of fresh, local Kennebec fries, Quebec-style cheese curds, gravy, signature mayo, chipotle mayo, and topped with a signature pickle. And if you’re wondering what the deal with the pickle is, it marks the chef’s (delicious) seal of approval.

The poutine burger is not the restaurant’s first foray into creative burgers. In the past, they have released these inventive beauties: a peanut butter bacon jalapeno burger, surf and turf burger, chicken parm burger, and the luau burger that naturally came with a pineapple ring and teriyaki sauce.

The good news is that the poutine burger is kind to your wallet, at just $8.49, and you could even go full Canadian by adding a side of poutine to your meal.

“Our guests are incredibly loyal and passionate about the poutine burger. Ever since we initially ran it in 2013, we constantly hear they want it back. Well, they asked, and we listened,” says White Spot president, Warren Erhart. “When it comes to creating unique food experiences for our guests, we aim to provide a burger experience like no other.”

But it doesn’t end with the poutine burger.

Triple O’s recently launched iced coffee and a salted caramel coffee milkshake – either of which you can pair with your burger if you’re planning on going all out. We proudly salute you, brave Canadian food warrior.
