One of the biggest and most horrifying haunted houses in Metro Vancouver returns to Surrey next month.
Every fall, Potterās House and Nursery in Surrey transforms intoĀ Potterās House of Horrors,Ā as it converts its grounds from an enjoyable, plant-filled garden centre into a maze of terror filled with the latest animatronics, digital sounds, high-tech scares and trained actors.

Now, entering its 17th year, Potter’s House of Horrors will be coming back earlier than ever. This year’s attraction will open on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28 for two special preview nights.
The main attraction will open for its regular run from Friday, October 4 to Saturday, November 2.

But Potters is more than simply just a single haunted house. In fact, this year includes the following haunting attractions:
- Death Valley Motor Inn: New for this year, the Death Valley Motor Inn is described as the “dusty old desert motel that nightmares are made of.” Prepare for shadowy figures and plenty of scares behind closed doors.
- Devilās Descent: A terrifying vortex of rotted wood, rickety mineshafts, punishing industrial machines, monsters and zombies. The Potterās āchicken counterā is sure to rack up a ton of ābok-boksā when people run screaming out of the exits.
- Li’l Haunters: A kids-only attraction with two miniature haunted houses that aren’t too dark or scary and contain no animatronics or actors. Houses include basketball and baseball tosses and table games such as air hockey and foosball.

In addition to the haunted house options, there is other frightening fun to be had:
- Escape from Incineration Escape room: Attendees have 20 minutes to escape a “burning” building, complete with smoke effects and annoying neighbours.
- Haunted Photo Booth: Four freakish photos sent directly to your phone or email.
- Xtreme Paintball Haunted Shootout: Shoot 50 rounds at haunted props and spooky animatronics.
- Creeps Concession: Including neon cotton candy, theatre-style popcorn, and “haunted” hot dogs, among other treats.
- The Last Ride: Experience what itās like to be buried in a coffin and whisked away to a ghostly graveyard.
All told, if you were seeking out that special place to help you get in the (haunted) spirit of the Halloween season, then Potterās House of Horrors in Surrey is the place to be.
Partial proceeds of the event go to theĀ Critter Care Wildlife Society. In addition, Potterās House of Horrors is proud to support theĀ Surrey Food BankĀ and will be accepting non-perishable food donations onsite.
