Vancouver’s Pride Parade is a colourful, beautiful celebration of the LGBTQ community. Thousands turn out to witness the spectacle every year, and for the first time ever in 2016, our very own Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will march alongside parade goers.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. A host of parties continue into the night after the all-ages parade that are, well, a little more grown up.
Here’s a list of 11 post-parade Pride parties that will keep you dancing into the night.
Pride Hershe Bar

What: Hershe is such a huge party that two nightclubs are necessary to accommodate the madness. Two dance floors, two sound systems, lights, lasers, and DJs – including DJ Automaton from LA – will add to the fun. Just one ticket gets you into both venues at Harbour Event Centre and Privé Nightclub.

Pride Party Cruise
What: This Pride party Cruise will be extra special this year as CruiseyT kicks off its 25th anniversary on land with DJ Pornstar. The night will include an Underwear Fashion Show featuring Andrew Christian Model Cory Lee, plus the boys from Dirt Squirrel and Mr. Gay Canada himself Derek Bedry. Dance performances by the Snap Boys and opening DJ Set by DomTop.

Chicas
What: Taryn Manning from Orange is the New Black will be DJing at Chicas’ afternoon party. Manning will fill the air with full-on beats while you dance and lounge and frolic on the lawn at this pillowy, picnic-y, Pride mayhem garden party and day-club debauchery all blended into one.

Pride GoGo Cruise
What: Enjoy the sounds of House & Top 40 hits on-board the yacht-style Harbour Princess. This boat has three levels, including a massive rooftop dance floor.

Untoxicated

What: Untoxicated is for those wishing to enjoy Pride in a drug and alcohol free environment. Headlining this year’s stage is International Drag Star Courtney Act, along with Morgan McMichaels and Guest DJ Karsten Sollars. Emcee Crystal Clearly will be accompanied by performances by Jaylene Tyme, Iona Whip, Alma Bitches, Rose Butch, Hope Diamond, Scizzor Fairy and DJs Josh DeKay and D.A. Productions.

Naked Pride Party
What: The Pacific-Canadian Association of Nudists are putting on a huge, naked, bash this Pride to celebrate the body in its purest form.

Backdoor
What: One of Vancouver’s few out-of-the-village gay events will be hosting some major vibes in a warehouse setting. Vancouver Art and Leisure promises it will be the sexiest party ever with custom sexual spaces, kinky give-aways, and erotic performances.

Pride History

What: Starting right after the Pride Parade with History’s T-Dance, DJs Darylo and Grayson Repp will spin tunes, and there will be a best butt contest hosted by the one and only Iona Whipp!

Trouble T-Dance
What: This year’s Trouble T-dance will be at the Cabana Lounge and the adjoining newly renovated Sidecar. Sip cocktails, get into trouble, and dance under the glowing Acacia tree.

Play After Hours
What: Mat Ste-Marie will be DJing this party. Also on deck will be Master DJ/Producer Alyson Calagna, known for her globally influenced, progressive, and distinct sound.

Pride Recovery Cruise
What: This event takes place on the MV Britannia, and has been nicknamed the industry cruise – this boat tends to be much more chill and laid back compared to Sunday, and is known for hosting many locals, industry staff, The Vancouver Pride Board, extended visitors and special out of town guests.
When: Monday, August 1; boarding is at 3 pm, sailing 4 to 8 pm
