The Port of Vancouver is hosting a free-to-attend, family-friendly celebration for World Maritime Day.

The community event will take place at Canada Place. In addition to recognizing the importance of shipping safety, marine security, and marine environment, the event gives the Port of Vancouver the chance to educate guests on its recent operations and initiatives.

This year’s celebration also follows the theme of “Empowering Women in the Maritime Community.”

Attractions at the event include multiple exhibitor’s booths and displays, on-water demonstrations, and live concerts.

The main stage will have performances throughout the day from Bobs & LoLo, Will’s Jams, Langley Ukelele Ensemble, Coastal Wolf Pack, SEABILLYS, Sarah Wheeler Band, The Burying Ground, and The Paperboys.

World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 6 pm at Canada Place.
