Popbar bringing handcrafted gelato on a stick to Abbotsford
It’s official: Popbar, a New York-founded company specializing in handcrafted gelato on a stick, is coming to Abbotsford. The cold treat maker is projected to open early summer at the Highstreet Shopping Centre.
The soon-to-be opened Abbotsford shopfront will be Popbar’s second B.C. outpost, and joins Popbar at Metropolis at Metrotown, which opened earlier this year.
Situated on the main floor of the shopping complex, Popbar Abbotsford will boast a similar set up and design aesthetic to that of the one at Metrotown but will be customized to the location and even offer seating, says Reuben BenJehuda, one of the founders of Popbar.

The menu will also be comparable. The trendy dessert spot will offer all of the Popaholics’ favorite popGelato and popSorbetto flavours, like vanilla, chocolate, coffee, passion fruit, green tea, and banana.
A range of dipping sauces and “Poppings” (almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, coconut, chocolate sprinkles, and caramel corn just to name a few) will also be available.
