If you’re planning to get married this year but figuring out all the details including venue, time, and location feels like too much work, then a pop-up marriage event in downtown this month might be just the thing for you.

For the fifth year in a row, Pop Up Weddings will be offering lovebirds the chance to get married in Robson Square on April 14, from 11 am to 3 pm.

The square itself will be decorated with wedding arches and flowers, and there will also be photographers available to capture the special day.

The event is first-come, first-served but organizers do their best to see to it that everyone that wants to officially tie the knot gets a chance to do so.

Registration for the event starts at 10 am and couples will be given a ceremony time between 11 am and 3 pm. A properly filled-out marriage license and a $20 registration fee is required as well.

In addition, “having some witnesses is always a good idea but not 100% necessary,” said Nicole Vanselow, co-owner of  Pop Up Weddings.

All fees are donated to the Vancouver Food Bank.

Vaneslow sais that during last year’s event, “we married 150 couples and donated $4,000 to the Vancouver Food Bank.”

And while love is everlasting, Vaneslow noted that this event will be the last time Pop Up Weddings puts on this event in Robson Square.

So if there was ever a good time to say “I Do,” this just might be the perfect place to do it.
