Coquitlam RCMP say they’re looking to identify two occupants travelling in a Tesla who were involved in a recent road rage incident.

According to a police news release, Coquitlam RCMP received a report of the incident taking place at the Mary Hill Bypass at Kingsway Avenue in Port Coquitlam on February 5 at 9:12 p.m.

Police say that the occupants of a white Tesla assaulted the driver of a grey Hyundai Elantra and proceeded to flee the scene westbound via the Mary Hill Bypass. The suspect vehicle has been identified as a white, four-door Tesla sedan.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

“The Coquitlam RCMP are asking both male suspects involved to immediately come forward, said acting Sgt. John Graham of the Coquitlam RCMP.

Driving in traffic can be frustrating, but there is no room in our communities for aggressive, assaultive behaviour. This violent road rage incident is unacceptable, and we want to ensure those responsible are held accountable.

Police are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the incident contact Coquitlam RCMP. Authorities are also looking for video footage from the intersection of Mary Hill Bypass and Kingsway Ave. between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on February 5.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident or recorded video footage is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2025-3069.
