Police release sketch of Richmond sexual assault suspect

RCMP have released a police sketch of a man suspected of committing a Richmond sexual assault.

On July 20, in the area of No. 3 Road and Bennet Road, police say a woman was grabbed from behind by the man while walking alone. She fought back and was thrown to the ground by the suspect, who then ran away.

The woman’s screams drew the attention of two good Samaritans who assisted her.

The suspect is described as a:

  • Caucasian male
  • 6′ 2″ (188 cm) or taller
  • 40+ years of age
  • Stocky build
  • Short white/grey hair with receding hair line
  • Clean shaven with a round long face
  • Possibly blue eyes with white/grey eyebrows
  • Walks with a hunched posture and bit of a “penguin-like” gate
  • Baggy black T-shirt
  • Baggy black pants
  • Spoke fluent English
