Police release sketch of Davie Village sexual assault suspect

Police are releasing a composite sketch and renewing their appeal for information regarding the sexual assault of a 30-year old woman earlier this year.

The attack happened at about 7:30 p.m. on January 5th as the woman was walking on Burrard near Davie Street.

The suspect is described as Asian, in his 30s, 5’4″ tall, with a slender build and short black hair with short fringed bangs. He was wearing a dark shirt, light-coloured jeans, and was carrying a bright gold yellow backpack.

Anyone who believes they recognize the suspect depicted in the composite is asked to call the Vancouver Police Sex Crimes Unit at (604) 717-0602 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
