The Vancouver Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in the death of a 60-year-old man.

On August 11, two men were spotted in an altercation outside of Shenanigans Nightclub on Robson Street. One of the men, a 60-year-old, was knocked to the ground and hit his head, resulting in what were believed to be minor injuries. He was taken to hospital where he declined treatment and left.

Shortly after, an ambulance was called to a West End apartment where they found him unconscious on the ground. He was taken back to hospital where they found he had severe brain bleeding. He died the next morning on August 12.

The VPD has reviewed security tapes and have identified a person of interest. He’s described at 5’10” tall, in his 20s, with a heavier build and was wearing a backwards baseball cap and a button-up shirt.

The man is pictured below. If anyone has any information on this incident, please contact the VPD at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
