Police investigating overnight homicide in Joyce-Collingwood neighbourhood

A 46-year-old suspect has been taken into custody after the Vancouver Police Department responded to what they are calling an “overnight homicide.”

A woman in her 20s was found deceased by police officers around midnight yesterday evening in a home near Rupert Street and Euclid Avenue. Another victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Further details about the victims and the suspect have yet to be released.

Police said there is no current risk to the public. According to the statement, forensics investigators will be working in the Joyce-Collingwood area throughout the day to collect evidence.
