Metro Vancouver’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is combing the site of a Richmond Sikh temple following a fatal shooting incident Friday night.
The incident at Nanaksar Gurdwara Gursikh Temple, located at 18691 Westminster Highway, occurred at approximately 9 p.m.
IHIT is on scene in Richmond after a homicide overnight. Investigation is in very early stages, updates later today.

A man was apparently shot dead in the parking lot of the temple while activities, participated by a number of people, were proceeding inside the building.
Few details are available at this time. It is not known whether the shooting was targeted or random.
