Police investigate Vancouver's first homicide of 2016

Vancouver Police are investigating a homicide in the Vancouver Westside – the city’s first homicide of 2016.

On Saturday night, officers were called to an apartment building on 2425 Granville Street – just north of West Broadway – after a body was discovered inside.

  • UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 40-year-old Christopher Denis Kwik

Crime Section investigators are probing the scene for evidence, and while the exact motive behind the homicide are currently unknown, police believe the attack was targeted.
