Police investigating stabbing in Whistler Village

Police are investigating a stabbing in Whistler Village that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday.

According to a release from Whistler RCMP, officers responded to reports of an incident at approximately 1:15 am in the 4300 block of Main Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his abdomen. He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Initial investigation has revealed that an altercation occurred between
two individuals resulting in one person being stabbed,” reads the release. “Officers are
continuing to speak to several witnesses to obtain further information.”

Police described the suspect as:

  • South Asian male
  • 6′ tall
  • 26 or 27 years old
  • 225 lbs

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a forest green jacket with fur on the hood and in the company of a 5’10”, 140 lb blonde haired female.
