Homicide investigators from the Vancouver Police Department are in East Vancouver this evening after a man was fatally shot in a residential neighbourhood.
The shooting occurred on Seaforth Drive near Rupert Street at approximately 9 p.m. The victim was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
This is Vancouver’s 10th homicide of 2015 and the second homicide in just two days. On Sunday, a 15-year-old boy was killed just five blocks away at his residence on East 24th Avenue and Rupert Street.
