There are reports of a police incident near the intersection of East Hastings and Renfrew Streets.
Vancouver Police officers are attending to the scene. Witnesses report shots being fired and several cars have also collided.
Transit bus routes running through the area have been rerouted as the eastbound lanes of the street have been blocked.
UPDATE: Around 8:15 p.m., the Vancouver Police Emergency Response Team arrested three people inside a vehicle at Renfrew and Hastings Street.
A flash bang distraction device was deployed. There were no injuries.
The arrest is part of an ongoing police investigation.
