This weekend, police dogs from across Canada will be gathering in Stanley Park.

Vancouver is playing host to the 2018 Canadian Police Canine Association Trials, running from Friday, September 14 to Sunday, September 16.

37 dog teams from across the country will be participating, including several members of our very own Vancouver Police Department.

The dogs will compete in a number of trials and challenges, including agility, tactical obedience, and simply the fastest dog.

The trials are closed to the public for the first two days, however, everyone will be invited to watch a public competition on Sunday, September 16 from 1 to 5 pm.

The competition takes place at the Brockton Oval in Stanley Park and is free to attend.
