The incident is said to have occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on February 20 when a man on a motorcycle rode through the mall and down an escalator near Wal-Mart before making his exit, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Earlier in the afternoon, just before 2 p.m., Surrey RCMP also responded to a report of a motorcyclist riding erratically through city streets. He was last seen riding through 192nd Street and 96th Avenue, around the Langley/Surrey municipal border.

There were no reports of injuries caused by the motorcyclist’s dangerous behaviour.

The dramatic footage of the chase has now been released through LiveLeaks.com, showing the suspect racing through traffic, down an escalator, and through an entry into Wal-Mart, almost striking a mother and child.

He then exits the mall and the chase continues over sidewalks and pedestrian overpasses.

Surrey RCMP later recovered the motorcycle, a blue Harley Davidson which was believed to be stolen, at 116 Avenue and Surrey Road. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 40’s.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS.
