This afternoon, a pod of orca whales was spotted in Vancouver’s Burrard Inlet, just off of Stanley Park. Seeing orcas this close to the city is definitely a rare sighting.
CTV caught the pod swimming through the Inlet. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen whales in Vancouver. In May 2010, a grey whale was spotted in False Creek and again in 2011 a pod of orca whales were also seen swimming at the exact same location they were spotted today.
