The PNE opened this past weekend with a bang (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

The Fair at the PNE opened this past weekend, and it didn’t disappoint.

Performances by Hedley, Jason Derulo, and Trevor Guthrie helped kick off the annual event, while the food offerings and wild rides kept fairgoers coming back for more.

There was even free admission for Pokémon GO players.

The fair goes on until September 5, with even more summer night concerts on the way from Simple Plan, The Sheepdogs, The Monkees, and Chris Isaak.

Something a little different from “International Perogies”, one of the PNE’s newest food trucks serving up all kinds of perogies! This one had teriyaki fried chicken, sautéed onions, sriracha mayo, seaweed, green onions, and a side of sour cream for dipping. Waited a while to get the chicken and waffles from ‘waffles with benefits’ at the #pne .. Thought it was extremely difficult to eat within that paper bowl.. Also not enough syrup! The bowl on the side was the gravy.. And there’s way more waffle compared to chicken ..
