For most of the year, Playland is filled with giggles and cotton candy, fun times and good eats but every October something very different happens inside those gates. Carn-n-Evil is the newest most chilling product of Fright Nights opening October 15th to October 31st. So what can you expect? Created around the theme of clowns expect a newly added haunted house in 3D, twisted torture lair of evil clowns, an evil jack-in-the-box and clown zombiettes, and a frightening display of televisions depicting every clown portrayed in film. There’s also the laundry line displaying clown body parts and Singe the Clown who we were advised to avoid – at all costs.

Internationally renowned gore and fright innovators, Scare Factory, best known for creating Hugh Hefner’s legendary Halloween parties, continue to expand all things frightening. With an additional 5th haunted house and larger themed areas surrounding each house, and scary additions to rides, guests will be unable to escape the Fright Nights terror until they slink out the exit. Scare Factory also brings back its popular History of Execution display featured on the History Channel. Monsters of Schlock is the team that takes care of pranks, dares and stunts. Last year, they broke the world-record for number of mousetraps set off on a tongue under a minute. This year, they promise a bigger spectacle.
