PNE Fright Nights 2009 Vancouver

DH Vancouver Staff Oct 08, 2009 3:42 pm

In continuing with our 2009 Vancouver Halloween events guide/list lets talk about Fright Nights at the PNE.

Opens Oct 16, 2009 and runs ’til Oct 31st, 6pm to late nightly.

Let’s be honest here, the Fright Nights at the PNE have been lacklustre the past few years. Sure the first year was great, but that was because it was a new concept for us Vancouverites. The subsequent years proved to be less than frightful. Potters House of Horrors in Surrey offered far more in terms of screams. To me that seemed like par for the course as the PNE in the summer hasn’t been all that great. However, this year PNE plans to change things and offer a haunt unparalleled in the Lower Mainland market with new rides and attractions.

Fright Nights will creep you out in a brand new way with four bigger and better, all NEW, haunted houses designed by the premier North American manufacturer in the haunt industry. As Fright Nights takes over ALL of Playland this year, learn about the eerie history of execution, as shown on The History Channel and look for new shows as well as your favourites like the Monsters of Schlock and The Great Orbax. Your favourite Playland rides will be there with a ghostly twist. It will be a Halloween Spectacular that is not to be missed and must be experienced.

Tickets: The gate price is $30 for Friday and Saturdays, however if you buy online you can save $3. The rest of the days its $25 and again buying online saves you money.
