PNE is a hub for a lot of great things in our city. It brings together the young and the old, from all over the province with rides, shows, exhibitions, and more. And by more, I mean food. Ethnic foods, sweets, things on sticks, deep-fried goodness that you wouldn’t think to deep-fry and other items that are exclusive to the PNE. What sets PNE apart from other fair food circuits is that you can find nearly every type of ethnic cuisine – Indian, Greek, Ukrainian, Chinese, and Vietnamese – which represents our city so well. Here are my Top 3 choices:
#3. Garlic Fries from Jimmy’s Lunch
Looks like lots of garlic, but don’t be scared it’s not as overpowering as it looks.
#2.Hunky Bill’s House of Perogies
Fried in buttery goodness, then hit with some sour cream, Hunky Bill’s is an institute in the city!
#1. Henry’s BBQ Chicken
Slowly smoked over an open pit of charcoal, this chicken is seriously tasty and the highlight of my night.
