PNE bans selfie sticks for rides and concerts

DH Vancouver Staff Jun 30, 2015 11:39 am

Everyone hates that one tall person blocking their view. But what if a selfie stick was between you watching the concert you paid to watch? This is why the PNE has banned selfie sticks on all PlayLand rides and PNE concerts.

“Currently selfie sticks are banned from the rides at Playland for safety reasons and concerts and shows throughout the site because they block views,” PNE spokesperson Laura Ballance told the CBC.

This doesn’t mean you can’t bring your pole to the park; it just means that you can’t snap selfies everywhere and anywhere on the site.

Selfie sticks are also banned at other amusement parks like Disneyland.
