If you’re ready to reacquaint yourself with the rolls, drops, spins, and thrills that only Playland can offer, then you’re in luck!

The always-popular amusement park located in East Vancouver opens its doors for weekend operation, beginning this Saturday, May 5.

In total, there are 35 rides and attractions to enjoy, 14 of which offer an extreme experience for those who dare to ride them.

Some of those attractions include fan favourites, including the Hellevator, the Wooden Roller Coaster, and of course The Beast, the massive pendulum that stands 12 storeys tall and delivers five g’s of force as it swings thrill-seekers at speeds of up to 90km/h.

Playland weekend hours

When: Beginning this Saturday, May 5, the amusement park will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, until June 15, at which point it will then open for daily operation during the week as well.
