While the Fair is closed for the year, PlayLand still operates annually during the month of September on weekends before the wet and cold weather begins to settle in.
For this month, PNE organizers will be opening the amusement park for an extra day each week on Fridays until September 21.
The decision was made after staff were inundated by requests from parents who were looking for activities to bring their children to now that the teachers’ strike has been extended into the new school year.
