Pink Floyd laser show returns to Vancouver

Finally! Vancouver has been called many things, but it can no longer be called a city lacking a Pink Floyd laser show.

Hosted by Roundhouse Productions, VidLaser Darkside of the Moon fills a hole left by the shuttering of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre’s shows, which ceased operation in 2012. A staple of planetarium around the world, a vibrant and hypnotic laser display shines alongside Pink Floyd’s masterpiece Darkside of the Moon, mixing brilliant light shows with the classic rock album.

The show takes place in the BCIT Planetarium, a small, 77 seat facility that has been in operation since 1964. Showing every Friday and Saturday, the event was initially conceive as a one-off event. After a huge response, they will now take place weekly into the new year.
