As part of a delegation sent on behalf of the United States, Vice-President Joe Biden was in Vancouver on Sunday to witness the Women’s National Soccer Team make history.

“Cheered on the red, white, and blue tonight. Great goals. Inspiring victory,” tweeted Biden once the U.S. defeated Japan 5-2 at BC Place.
This is Biden’s second time in Vancouver as the second-in-command to the President. He was also in the city during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games to attend the Opening Ceremony and competition events.
