
It was a dark and stormy night in Metro Vancouver, as a powerful wind storm whipped through the region, knocking out power lines and keeping many locals more than on their toes.
Power outages spread through the area, from the North Shore to the Fraser Valley, leaving an estimated 80,000 customers without electricity.

The wind warning was canceled at just after 7 p.m. by Environment Canada.
Still, it was an eerie commute for many traveling on the Lions Gate Bridge, which suffered a power outage. The rains have subsided through most of the region, and, as one Instagram user below points out, it’s a reminder that nothing lasts forever…even cold November rain.
