Good news, Vietnamese soup lovers: Call it what you will – pho, phu, phe – one of our city’s favourite go-to Vietnamese noodle soup joints has undergone a menu redesign – and it’s a good one. Pho Hoa‘s recently revamped menu now boasts health-conscious, low-cal options that won’t go straight to your thighs.
And not to worry; all of your favourite items are still on the menu. The Pho Hoa team has just opted to use leaner meat in their recipes to improve the nutrition of their soups (though the broth has stayed just as flavourful). Since the menu makeover, you’ll find calories per serving listed next to each item on the menu to help you make health-conscious choices when ordering. Simply put, all the changes have only been for good.
Most items (i.e. regular size soups with meat and the regular fixings of sprouts, basil, lemon, etc.) clock in at under 500 calories. Other good choices are the vegetarian pho (a mere 300 calories!), and the salad rolls (150 calories each). Pretty fine numbers when it comes to fast or take-out food, don’t you think?
So, the next time you feel like “indulging” in some comfort food, opt for Pho Hoa Noodle Soup. Your body will thank you for it!
