Yesterday, travel website Big 7 announced Vancouver was the friendliest city in the world — and many were quick to disagree.

According to Big 7, Vancouver takes the top spot “thanks to its extraordinary friendly residents.”

“The city has an amazing multicultural community who band together to make visitors feel welcome and safe at all times. Locals are quick to offer assistance to tourists and the community vibe makes socializing in Vancouver simple.”

People took to social media to share their opinions about the ranking, pointing out they’ve had very different experiences in the city.

Montreal was the only other Canadian city included in the list, placing 34th.
