Despite lower than expected ticket sales and delayed lineup announcements, Pemberton Music Festival will return from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 19, 2015. Between Squamish Fest and Pemberton Fest, Vancouverites will once again have two major music festivals to choose from.
Early Bird tickets, which allow fans to purchase advance festival passes at a discount, go on sale this Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. (PST) at PembertonMusicFestival.com.
“We’re incredibly excited to announce our dates for 2015, and look forward to welcoming the best artists and fans in the world back to our beautiful festival site,” said HUKA Entertainment co-founder and CEO A.J. Niland.
Early Bird tickets come in two tiers, with prices starting at $229 for four-day General Admission festival passes, plus $89 for either a camping or shuttle pass, or $29 for a Go Green pass – which are in limited supply. Four-day VIP festival passes start at $799, which includes a choice of camping or shuttle. Four-day Super VIP festival passes start at a price of $1,299, which includes a choice of camping or shuttle.
Once the first tier of Early Bird tickets run out, prices will increase to $255 for four-day General Admission festival passes, $899 for four-day VIP festival passes and $1,399 for four-day Super VIP festival passes, while supplies last.
Additionally, a limited amount of RV passes for camping pass purchasers will be available at an Early Bird rate of $349. RV passes accommodate up to eight people per vehicle.

The 2014 Pemberton Music Festival featured an amazing line up, the only issue was that it was announced far too late. It will be interesting to see if next year’s festival lineup can best 2014’s: Outkast, Deadmau5, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, Metric, Modest Mouse, Snoop Dogg, Above & Beyond, Empire Of The Sun, DJ set from JUSTICE, Grimes, Girl Talk, TV On The Radio, St. Vincent, Chance The Rapper, Matthew Good, Tyler, The Creator and many more.
The festival provides a blend of on-site camping and off-site hotel lodging options. While camping options will allow attendees to stay directly on festival grounds, those seeking the comforts of a home away from home can secure traditional lodging in nearby Whistler. Non-camping patrons will have access to festival-supplied transportation, including shuttles from Whistler.
Campgrounds for 2015 will be expanded to include property on both sides of the Sea to Sky Highway, which means that campers parked on the south side of the road opposite the festival grounds will have the option to camp there, and will no longer be required to carry their gear across the bridge spanning the road to the festival site. Additionally, paths from other parking lots leading to festival campgrounds will be upgraded to include hard-packed surfaces with minimal obstructions.
“We have been working hard on an improved camping load-in and load-out experience, including additional campgrounds closer to parking areas, and improved footpath surfaces, which means campers will have an easier time carrying, wheeling and pulling their gear into the site,” said Niland. “We are also adding more transportation assistance from the parking lots to the main campgrounds immediately adjacent to the festival, which means more rides for more campers in general.”
Other improvements will include food service and offerings for VIP patrons as well as placement of campground amenities, including showers and water filling stations.
Now we all await the lineup, which should be announced early in 2015.
